Job Description
The position of OPS Attorney is available in the Agency for Health Care Administration Office of the General Counsel, Fair Hearing Section. The job involves conducting fair hearings for Medicaid programs, providing legal opinions, and assisting in the development of legislation and administrative rules.

Requirements

  • Admission to the Florida Bar with membership in good standing
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in the practice of law, legal research and writing, judicial and legal clerk or internships, teaching law or in administrative judicial hearings
  • Demonstrated legal research and writing skills; knowledge of the Medicaid program; knowledge of civil and/or administrative litigation procedures; familiarity with administrative rulemaking; and, computer skills
