Job Description
The position of Custodian at Dallas ISD is responsible for maintaining schools and facilities by providing effective and efficient cleaning and custodial support services.

Requirements

  • Follow directed cleaning schedule
  • Keep school/building and grounds neat and clean
  • Secure assigned area at the end of work shift
  • Removal and disposal of trash
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Perform daily cleaning on all custodial equipment
  • Comply with the Texas Hazardous Communications Act
  • Wear appropriate custodial uniform and District issued ID badge
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Work shift flexibility
  • Maintain good public relations and communications
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to operate cleaning equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to lift or exert force of up to 100 pounds
  • Demonstrated skill in cleaning methods and procedure
  • Demonstrated ability of proper usage for all cleaning supplies
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
