Role Overview

Allied Consultants is seeking an experience Accessibility Specialist to play a key role within a high-impact technical services team. The Specialist will create and update templates, establish best practices, and provide coaching and training to document authors and content creators.

The Specialist will create and update templates, establish best practices, and provide coaching and training to document authors and content creators. They will also conduct research into accessibility documentation and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience with EIR Accessibility and assistive technologies used by people with disabilities
  • 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat to produce accessible documents and forms
  • 3 years of experience with HTML and PDF tag structures, attributes, and properties relating to accessibility
  • 3 years of experience training others to author accessible documents and forms
  • 1 year of full-time experience in EIR, including the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public and private agency
  • 1 year of experience with automated remediation tools, document management integrations, and other system-level accessibility solutions
