Role OverviewThe Account Examiner 2 position involves reviewing and processing annual employer payroll reports, policy audits, and true-up reporting. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and the ability to maintain accuracy requirements. The position is part of the Workers' Compensation team at the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
What You Will Do
The Account Examiner 2 will examine and process annual employer payroll reports, process true-up reporting or amended true-up reporting, and update policy information. They will also identify and refer audits to the appropriate Auditing Supervisor, answer inquiries from government officials and customers, and assign claim classifications based on policy information.

Alternatively, candidates may have 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting, 12 months of experience in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity, or equivalent experience.
Requirements
- 24 mos. exp. in position involving review & processing of claims, collections, billings, payments or review of documents for accuracy, completeness &/or compliance with reporting guidelines, laws or rules
- 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting
- 12 mos. exp. in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity
- 12 mos. exp. as Accountant/ Examiner 1, 66111, with state government exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned
