Job Description
Role Overview

The Account Manager is a pivotal role designed to bridge the gap between high-touch client service and active business development within a lean, three-person team. You will own the client relationship post-sale while proactively identifying and closing new business opportunities to drive company growth. Success is measured by your ability to retain existing accounts, sign new locations, and operate effectively in a high-growth, "unproven" environment.

What You Will Do

Own the Relationship: Manage and grow client accounts after the initial sale to ensure long-term satisfaction. Close New Business: Negotiate directly with plant managers to get new service agreements signed. Drive Outreach: Initiate contact with prospects via cold calls, walk-ins, and lead lists to supplement set appointments.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Success Indicators Location Signings: Meet or exceed monthly targets for new location agreements. Retention Rate: Maintain high client retention through proactive communication and rapid problem resolution. Process Maturity: Deliver functional workflows for client onboarding and account auditing within the first 6 months.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience owning client relationships post-sale in a B2B environment
  • Sales Acumen: Proven comfort with "asking for the business" and closing contracts, not just servicing accounts
  • Small Team Background: Direct experience working in a company with fewer than 50 employees
  • Risk Tolerance: High comfort level with the ambiguity and pace of an early-stage, small-team environment
  • Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle for regional travel
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to engage strangers and build rapport quickly in diverse settings
  • Availability: Genuinely able and willing to travel overnight up to 50% of the month

Benefits

  • Performance bonuses
  • 75,000–85,000 yearly salary
