Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks an Administrative Engineer NM to serve as an Accountable Manager (AM) for the Water System Capital Program (WSCP). The selected candidate will be responsible for project goals and milestones, staff supervision, and environmental health & safety.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
  • A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.
  • Project Management of large capital contracts
  • Critical thinking and effective independent data analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of codes and standards
  • Possession of a valid NYS driver’s license may be required for this job assignment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project
