Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection is seeking three Mechanical Engineers to be Accountable Managers for the Wastewater Capital Program. The selected candidates will oversee and support the design and construction of capital projects for various wastewater resource recovery facilities and pump stations across the city.

Requirements

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of a motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York
  • Detailed understanding of permitting, equipment and materials, codes and standards
  • Ability to review, interpret and approve complex contract documents
  • Strong technical skills, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
  • Knowledge of engineering design and construction industry standards and practices
  • Experience in writing and reviewing contract specifications for major public works projects
