Role OverviewJoin Our Team as an Accountant! The Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting and financial operations, including government contract billing, accounts receivable, financial reporting, allocations, reconciliations, and compliance-related activities.
What You Will Do
Prepare and submit claims, invoices, and billing for government-funded programs and contracts. Enter claims, billing, and related financial data into finance systems accurately and timely.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The Accountant works closely with Finance and program staff to ensure accurate financial records, timely billing, and compliance with organizational and funder requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting debits and credits.
- Good math skills, including an understanding of percentages and allocations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and finance/accounting software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and data entry skills.
- Experience with reconciliations, financial recordkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
