Job Description
Role Overview

As an Accountant/Examiner 2, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate processing and review of billings, authorizations, and payments to support Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities' mission. You will work under general supervision to process and make changes to authorizations, verifying service codes and vendor information, and resolving any billing issues or discrepancies.

What You Will Do

You will generate reports, monitor outstanding billings, and maintain accurate records, drawing on your strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail. You will also collaborate closely with Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Living staff to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 24 months experience in position involving review and processing of claims, collections, billings, payments or review of documents for accuracy, completeness and/or compliance with reporting guidelines, laws or rules with experience commensurate to duties to be assigned.
  • OR 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting AND 12 months experience in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity.
  • OR 12 months experience as Accountant/ Examiner 1, 66111, with state government experience commensurate with duties to be assigned.
  • OR equivalent of education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.
