Role Overview

The Accountant/Examiner 3 will process renewal applications for accuracy/completeness and possible issuance, ensure issued retail permits remain compliant with Ohio laws/regulations, review operational changes to the business, work with customers to answer questions about liquor regulations, and work with staff in other sections to support the overall licensing mission. The position is part of the Division of Liquor Control, which supports Ohio's economy by providing funding for job creation and business development through the proceeds from Ohio's liquor industry.

What You Will Do

Process renewal applications for accuracy/completeness and possible issuance, ensure issued retail permits remain compliant with Ohio laws/regulations, review operational changes to the business, work with customers to answer questions about liquor regulations, and work with staff in other sections to support the overall licensing mission.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 12 months of experience as Accountant/Examiner 2, or equivalent experience in accounting or a related field, and will be able to work in a team environment to support the overall licensing mission.

Requirements

  • 12 months of experience as Accountant/Examiner 2
  • equivalent experience in accounting or a related field
  • completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting or 2 years of experience in accounting
  • completion of undergraduate core coursework in business administration, economics, computer science, or a related field with 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting
