Role OverviewThe Accountant I position supports financial activities related to the Hogan Facilities. The key function of the Accountant I is to serve as technical support and liaison with the Client Funds Office and the Business Office for Hogan Facility client Funds and business operation needs.
What You Will Do
Interpreting state regulations, guidelines, and procedures for financial operations and accounting systems; conferring with suppliers of goods and/or providers of services and their employees to explain state/agency rules, policies and accounting procedures governing payment and related financial transactions.

Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, EXCEL, Access, and Word
- Knowledge of MOSAIC and FMIS or other financial reporting software preferred
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and exercise discretion in handling confidential information
- Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting including terminology, and general report writing
- Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of general accounting data to draw conclusions and to make appropriate recommendations
