Job Description
The Accountant I supports the financial operations of the Health Center in compliance with HRSA Health Center Program, Uniform Guidance, and GAAP. This position is responsible for routine accounting functions, including cash reconciliations, bank and grant reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, payroll support, journal entries, and audit preparation.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Prior accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
  • Experience in a healthcare, nonprofit, or grant-funded organization
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize online computer files and have strong computer skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to follow established accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements related to payroll and financial data
  • Ability to meet recurring deadlines in a regulated environment
