Job Description
The NYC Police Department is seeking a qualified Accountant to assist with Department operations. This role involves performing accounting and auditing duties and supervising an accounting unit, under general supervision. The position is open to current and active Accountants, and requires a 55-a program enrollment based on a qualifying plan and a recommendation from a Commanding Officer.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university (12 semester credits in accounting)
  • Valid New York State Certified Public Accountant license (24 credit hours in accounting)
  • 24 semester credits in accounting (including 1 course in advanced accounting and auditing)
  • 24 semester credits in accounting (including 1 course in advanced accounting and auditing)
