Accountant

As an Accountant at NewMarket Corporation, you will be part of a collaborative accounting team ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. You will have broad exposure to key accounting areas, including research and development, leases, freight, account reconciliations, internal controls, and month-end close activities. The position offers broad exposure to key accounting areas and the preparation of support for SEC financial disclosures.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include managing accounting activities related to research and development, processing freight invoices, supporting lease accounting, preparing accounting entries and analysis for medical and dental reserves, and contributing to the monthly close process through account reconciliations and journal entries.

Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
