Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will interact with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees on a regular basis. This position offers promotion potential to a Controller-level position.

What You Will Do

Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, bank account and balance sheet reconciliations, monthly financials and related analysis, grant tracking and monitoring, cash flow projections and monitoring, preparation for outside audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, client service, or outsourced accounting
  • Strong interest in supporting nonprofit organizations and their missions
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting technology, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple accounting systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Nonprofit accounting experience is preferred, but candidates with a strong desire to learn the nonprofit sector are encouraged to apply
