Role OverviewAs an Accounting Data Analytics Intern, you will support the accounting team, building models to assist in solving complex business challenges and transforming data into actionable insights to support leadership decisions. This position is 100% in-office and reports to our facility on site in Syracuse, NY. You will work in a fast-paced corporate environment and meet deadlines, maintaining confidentiality and working with sensitive information.
What You Will Do
Primary duties and responsibilities include data analysis and process improvement, building and maintenance of various analytic solutions, and reporting and analysis. You will gather financial data, clean and organize datasets, and provide input toward the design and development of interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.

Requirements
- Current enrollment in post-secondary collegiate school, preferably pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field with an emphasis on data analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI with a knack for creating clear and compelling visualizations.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, and SQL.
- Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to validating data accuracy.
