Role OverviewThis is a hands-on Accounting Manager role for someone ready to grow. You will own day-to-day accounting operations and play a central part in tightening the systems, billing, and reporting behind a multi-entity, project-based business.
What You Will Do
Manage daily accounting operations — AP, AR, general ledger, cash, and bank reconciliations. Support month-end close and the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements. Help administer billing and collections across commercial and government/prevailing-wage contracts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
4+ years of progressive accounting experience; some supervisory exposure a plus. Construction, public-works, or project-based industry experience — strongly preferred.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Construction, public-works, or project-based industry experience
- Familiarity with certified payroll / prevailing wage / job costing
- Solid GAAP knowledge
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or an ERP
- Some supervisory or team-lead exposure
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
