Role OverviewChampion Homes is seeking a dynamic, experienced Accounting Manager to help facilitate core accounting functions for the corporate team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the accounting function, and applicable team. This role will be instrumental in completing required reporting, monthly reconciliations.
What You Will Do
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, build an understanding of and support current month end close processes, prepare and review month end close Corporate journal entries and reconciliations, and assist with process improvement and automation of current processes.

Requirements
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 4-7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time annually
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e., SOX, audits)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles and basic tax knowledge
- Project management skills
- Advanced systems knowledge (Excel and other analytical systems)
- Complete understanding of the financial close process
- Understanding of local and state compliance requirements (payroll, property, sales, tax)
- People management
- Ability to develop and maintain G&Os
