Role Overview

As the Accounting Manager, you will serve as the single-threaded owner of accounting policy, controls, and reporting for AWS Supply Chain's leasing and financing portfolio. You will partner cross-functionally with Finance, Business, Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Tech teams to stand up new accounting frameworks, drive system implementations, and ensure compliance with relevant Accounting standards.

What You Will Do

Key job responsibilities include owning the end-to-end accounting lifecycle for AWS Supply Chain leasing and financing transactions, leading the implementation of ASC 842 accounting procedures, and driving the design and execution of accounting processes in Amazon systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA
  • Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
  • Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
  • Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
