Job Description
Role Overview

The Accounting Specialist performs technical accounting and financial support functions for the Sheriff's Office, responsible for accounts payable, payroll processing, revenue tracking, budget support, and general ledger activities.

What You Will Do

Review and process accounts payable transactions, reconcile purchasing card transactions, process payroll transactions, and maintain vendor records and financial documentation.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or governmental fiscal experience. Strong analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality are required.
