Role Overview

The Accounting Support II position is a full-time role in the Johnson County Department of Emergency Services. The successful candidate will work closely with the administrative team in a fast-paced environment, supporting all divisions within the department. The role involves processing accounts payable, payroll functions, and accounts receivable, as well as a wide range of other job functions.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounting transactions, analyzing and evaluating revenues or expenditures, researching and correcting accounting errors, and preparing standard and customized reports. The successful candidate will also assist with payroll processing, maintain and update files, and gather and collate records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative functions involving record keeping or related area
