Role OverviewErlanger is seeking a Neuro Stroke Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Stroke team in Chattanooga, TN. This vital role provides advanced, evidence-based care to patients experiencing acute stroke and other neurological conditions.
What You Will Do
The APP will manage patients from admission through discharge, working both independently and collaboratively with physicians, residents and APPs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Candidates must hold current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Tennessee, maintain national certification, and have ACLS and BLS credentials. Experience in neurology, stroke, or critical care is preferred.
Requirements
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the state of Tennessee
- National certification in a specialty (such as ACNP, ANP, CCNS, FNP)
- Certificate of fitness from the state of Tennessee (as required by specialty)
- BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward
