Role OverviewAssists in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for residents in a healthcare setting. Works with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized recreation programs. Communicates with residents, family members, and staff to ensure resident needs are met.
What You Will Do
Conducts assessments, develops individualized recreation programs, updates resident recreation programs, works with the interdisciplinary team, schedules recreational activities, provides activities for residents confined to their rooms, and develops and implements effective procedures to ensure resident participation.

Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years college education with courses in recreation, education, social work, other behavioral sciences or clinical services
- Two (2) years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years
- One year full-time employment in a patient/resident activities program in a healthcare setting
