Job Description
Assists in planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs for patients in a healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Conducts assessments and gathers information by interviewing residents, interested family members, legal representatives and significant others
  • Updates resident Recreations programs as needed
  • Works cooperatively with members of interdisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate plan of care
  • Provides activities to residents confined to their rooms
  • Provides structured activities to meet the needs of cognitively impaired residents
  • Develops and implements effective procedures to ensure that all residents are informed that activities are occurring
  • Records progress notes in the clinical record
  • Performs quality assessment and assurance functions
  • Develops and updates Recreation Services policies and procedures
  • Communicates with Nursing Home Administrator on daily basis
