Role OverviewResponsible for creating and maintaining therapeutic programs and activities for residents in a long-term care setting. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and facility policies. Collaborates with the Life Enrichment team on campus-wide programs and events.
What You Will Do
Provides activities to assigned residents, coordinates therapeutic recreation programs, determines individual interests and needs, and evaluates program effectiveness. Interacts with residents daily to affirm self-esteem and alleviate feelings of loneliness and depression.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires a CNA certification, a Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field, and a minimum of one year's experience in an activities or recreation program. National or state recreation certification and/or Certified Activities Professional designation is strongly preferred.
