Role OverviewThe Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing the activities and excursions for the Community in order to enhance the residents' independence and quality of life. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include assisting the Activity Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community, promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes, and other such activities.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
- Requires current Class C, prefer either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
