Job Description
UT Southwestern is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide exceptional care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Clements University Hospital (CUH) and Zale Lipshy Pavilion. This role features a rotating 12-hour schedule, including days, nights, and weekends—with additional pay for night and weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Master's degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program
  • Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing
  • Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Current applicable (ACLS) American Heart Association or American Red Cross Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers
