Job Description
We invite you to explore this exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity, critical care environment as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Clements University Hospital (CUH) and Zale Lipshy Pavilion. Our growing Anesthesiology team is seeking a skilled provider with a background in inpatient critical care or hospitalist medicine. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a master’s degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Master’s degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program.
  • Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA),
  • Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
  • OR Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Acute Care certification.
  • Current applicable (ACLS) American Heart Association or American Red Cross Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
