Role OverviewPerforms various general maintenance duties to efficiently operate the County’s facilities and keep them in proper repair and clean and safe for public use. This is an entry level maintenance position that is required to work directly in Sedgwick County Corrections Facility, and has regular contact with inmates and other detention personnel.
What You Will Do
Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work in county buildings, including the Adult Detention Facility. Remove and replace toilets and urinals, unclog drains, and perform related work as required.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This position requires a valid US driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. Preferred qualifications include two years of experience in maintenance or construction and mechanical aptitude.
