Role Overview

The supervisor serves as a liaison on a designated shift, providing on-site problem solving for management and administrative staff, and facilitating decision-making regarding nursing practice. They participate in the education and development of patient care staff and assist in the development of policies and procedures.

What You Will Do

On off shifts, weekends, and holidays, the supervisor acts as an administrative liaison between administration, patient care staff, and other departments, making decisions about staff placement and patient placement as needed. They collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to provide optimal patient care and facilitate the delivery of patient services on all shifts and weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or enrollment/documented intent to complete BSN within two years
  • More than two years of progressively more responsible nursing experience
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan
