Job Description
We are seeking a Deputy County Clerk to join our team at La Crosse County. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the County Clerk, processing marriage licenses, issuing dog licenses, and assisting with elections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WisVote, Wisconsin election procedures, and marriage license procedures. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to provide work direction and monitor performance.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, or another clerical course
  • Three years related work experience in an office setting providing customer service and experience with Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to work late on election nights, and occasionally an evening meeting
  • Must be eligible to be certified as a notary
