Role Overview

The Administrative Assistant I/Job Dispatcher oversees and performs specialized secretarial and administrative support duties, including transcribing notes, composing documents, and processing financial transactions. The role assists with administrative projects and programs that impact other organization units and locations.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a high school diploma and 36 months' experience
  • Alternatively, a Business School degree plus one year of experience is preferred and may substitute for some experience
  • May require a valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Tribal enterprise and government, department operations, policies, procedures, and calendars
  • Working knowledge of personal computer-based software programs
  • Math skills to perform financial and statistical record keeping
  • Knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Human relations skills to work productively with diverse teams
  • Ability to independently perform all duties of the position
  • Ability to accurately take and transcribe notes and/or meeting minutes/recollections
  • Ability to learn, interpret, explain, and apply knowledge of Tribal enterprises, government, and organization unit services
  • Ability to prepare spreadsheets, graphs, and charts, and enter, import, and export data to and from databases
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet schedules and timelines
  • Ability to communicate with management, staff, and the community using patience and courtesy

Benefits

  • $20.55-$25.03 per hour
