Role Overview

The Administrative Assistant II will coordinate department functions, maintain budget records, and perform administrative duties such as filing, correspondence, and supply management. They will also provide information to employees, parents, and the public, and prepare correspondence and reports. The role requires independence, effective communication, and organizational skills.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will perform tasks such as maintaining budget records, processing department-related documents, and providing general information to employees and the public. They will also prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents using a personal computer and common office software.

The ideal candidate will have five years of directly related experience, mastery of Oracle functions, and the ability to function independently. They will also possess organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills, as well as proficiency in keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (USA equivalent) and two years of training equivalent to two years of technical education, and/or associate’s degree
  • Five years of directly related experience
  • Mastery of Oracle functions, such as payroll, budget, and requisitions
  • Ability to function independently
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant, non-threatening, and inviting office environment
  • Demonstrated ability to diffuse problems and hostile attitudes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
  • Knowledgeable in the use of office equipment
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, and file maintenance; advanced typing skills of 60 wpm
  • Knowledge of district organization, operations, and administrative policies (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
