Job Description
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is seeking an Administrative Law Judge to conduct unemployment insurance hearings in accordance with Indiana Code. This role involves completing hearings on time, while maintaining knowledge of laws and standards of professional conduct. The position requires impartiality and requires a Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution. The DWD promotes workforce development and economic growth within the state of Indiana.

Requirements

  • Must hold a Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.
  • Admission to the Indiana State Bar and in good standing.
  • Knowledge of the Rules of Evidence and Civil Procedure.
  • Ability to conduct fair and impartial hearings.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate oral and written data, analyze facts and draw logical conclusions.
  • Ability to work independently and with appeals supervisor and support staff.
  • Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
