Role Overview

The Administrator - Network LAN/WAN will be responsible for cabling and termination, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems. The role requires 100% travel within the USA and involves working at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces. The Administrator will also be responsible for installing racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware, as well as performing mechanical and fusion splicing.

The Administrator will perform various tasks including cabling and termination, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems. They will also be responsible for installing racks, patch panels, and fiber optic hardware, and performing mechanical and fusion splicing.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient at terminating all connector types and methods for SMF and MMF systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting MMF and SMF systems experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Fiber
  • Industry Certifications (Corning/FOA/BICSI)
  • Data Center installation experience
  • Mechanical and Fusion Splice experience
  • OSP / Confined Space Entry experience (splicing)
