Role Overview

We are looking for an Admissions Counselor who will be responsible for facilitating admissions, clinical intake assessments, and utilization review processes to assure continuity for the most appropriate level of care for patients and their benefit/resource utilization.

What You Will Do

Respond to inquiries about the facility, perform benefit eligibility, collaborate with facility medical and psychiatric personnel, coordinate admission and transfer, maintain knowledge of milieu management, and ensure all clinical information is received prior to patient admission.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a social services field, one or more years of experience in mental/behavioral health, and current licensure in the area of clinical specialty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a social services field
  • Master's degree in a social services field (psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, health administration, nursing) or RN
  • One or more years' experience in mental/behavioral health working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity
  • Current licensure in the area of clinical specialty
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification
  • First aid may be preferred based on state or facility
