Role OverviewThis position is for an Adult Basic Education/GED Instructor responsible for delivering instruction in Math/Science, Reading-Language Arts, and Social Studies through a blended instructional model. The incumbent will teach assigned academic subjects to students at a correctional institution/facility, plan and develop classes, supervise inmates, and counsel individuals on program progress and behavior.
What You Will Do
The incumbent will plan, develop, and conduct classes in assigned subjects, utilize various teaching techniques, supervise inmates, conduct roll calls, maintain attendance records, ensure order and discipline in the classroom, and administer grades and tests.

Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university
- Possess or be eligible to apply for a State of Florida Educator's Certificate
- Non-certified applicants must obtain a temporary State of Florida Educator's Certificate within 12 months of hire
