Role OverviewWe are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to work in a 4-bed IDD/ASD adult male group home setting. As a Direct Support Professional, you are a teacher - coaching and demonstrating skills to increase individual’s independence, relationship builder - developing positive connections with individuals, their friends and families and their DDS service coordinators, and an environmental manager - monitoring the safety and security of the home and community.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities may include coaching and assisting in hygiene routines, chore completion, meal preparation, administration of medications, completion of required paperwork, planning and facilitating recreational activities, assisting with transportation and supporting individuals in working and achieving their goals.

Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license required.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
- Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
