Role OverviewWe are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to work in a 4-bed group home setting with male adults (over the age of 22) with IDD/ASD. As a Direct Support Professional, you are a teacher - coaching and demonstrating skills to increase individual’s independence; relationship builder - developing positive connections with individuals, their friends, families, and DDS service coordinators; and an environmental manager - monitoring the safety and security of the home and community.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities may include coaching and assisting in hygiene routines, chore completion, meal preparation, administration of medications, completion of required paperwork, planning and facilitating recreational activities, assisting with transportation and supporting individuals in working and achieving their goals.

Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with IDD/ASD preferred.
- Must be MAPS certified or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation in Rutland
