Role Overview

The Administrator of the Office of Adult Workforce Pathways provides statewide leadership, policy development, and program oversight for adult education initiatives. The Administrator ensures programs align with state and federal law, industry workforce needs, and Ohio's strategic vision for preparing all learners for postsecondary success and meaningful employment.

What You Will Do

Develops and implements policies that support state and federal legislation, ensures adults without a high school diploma have the opportunity to earn their high school equivalency diploma or high school diploma, and leads statewide efforts to expand and ensure equitable access to adult education programs and pathways.

  • Completion of Master's degree

  • Vast knowledge of and experience working with adult learners
  • Experience developing and implementing policy
  • Master's degree (e.g., Education, Education Administration & Supervision, Educational Policy and Leadership, Adult/Workforce Education)
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex roles and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
  • Systems thinker with creativity and strong problem-solving skills
