Job Description
Join UT Southwestern on our mission to educate, discover, and heal. As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant II in Pediatric Acute Care, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients on our inpatient cardiology unit. This position requires a high degree of critical thinking and clinical expertise in working with pediatric patients in the inpatient acute care cardiology setting.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing or Higher degree and Documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program and Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. OR
  • Master's degree graduate of a Master’s or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Advanced Practice RN (CPNP-AC) by Texas State Board of Nursing upon hire and authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire. OR
  • National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and certified licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board (PA-C) upon hire. AND
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on the UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers upon hire.
