Role OverviewSupports practice changes, upholds departmental standards, and performs decontamination functions accurately. Prepares patients for procedures, communicates patient information, and assists in medication delivery. Promotes a safe environment and responds to emergency situations.
What You Will Do
Performs decontamination functions, operates automated endoscope reprocessors, and maintains records related to decontamination/disinfection/sterilization processes. Assists physicians in performing complex endoscopic procedures and assists with complex pulmonary procedures.

Requires previous experience with high-level disinfection/sterilization, understanding of IRB rules, and knowledge of procedure-specific lasers. Must demonstrate dexterity, knowledge, and safety in the care and handling of endoscopy instrumentation and supplies.
Requirements
- Able to communicate in English
- Ability to display excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrates dexterity, knowledge, and safety in the care and handling of endoscopy instrumentation and supplies, both sterile and unsterile
- Previous experience with high-level disinfection/sterilization
- Understanding IRB rules and processes for research procedures in the hospital setting
- 1+ experience in assisting GI physicians with complex advanced procedures in GI or pulmonary
- 1+ years experience as an endoscopy technician, or other comparable healthcare role
