Job Description
UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Integrated Wet Lab and Computational Researcher to perform professional work in support of scientific research using technical knowledge of software, software development, networking, and/or hardware in a complex computing environment. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field of biological science, with thesis work in bioinformatics and computational biology, or a Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-4 years of related research experience in bioinformatics and computational biology. Responsibilities include designing and implementing analysis pipelines, developing machine learning models, collaborating with experimental scientists, and leading computational sections of manuscripts and presentations.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field of biological science
  • 2-4 years of related research experience in bioinformatics and computational biology
