Role Overview

Join Moog's Military Aircraft Group as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to research, develop, test, and implement Advanced Manufacturing technologies to improve or optimize current production needs or develop new products. Work under supervision of Senior Engineers on a team of project, mechanical, electrical, robotics, controls, and software engineers. Collaborate and work projects across other engineering and operations teams.

What You Will Do

Assist in identification, development, testing, and implementation of Advanced Manufacturing technologies for application in Military Aircraft Group products and production processes. Support continued manufacturing improvement activities involving Advanced Manufacturing technologies resulting in productivity optimization via throughput increase, product quality, or process variation reduction.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role offers a first shift, on-site schedule at our East Aurora NY location. Travel may be required as technologies and projects are being researched, developed, implemented, and tested. Work effectively in a cross-functional matrix organization with other teams and sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field
  • Plus 3 years of relevant experience including projects in industrial automation and control systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, mechanical systems, Electronics, and electromechanical systems
  • Conceptual understanding of computer programming and software development relating to manufacturing systems
  • CAD software knowledge and experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible and cope with change
