Role OverviewJoin the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the Ambulatory Care Division. This role involves treating patients with substance abuse and addiction in the hospitals' addictions units. The ideal candidate will have experience working with substance abuse and addictions patients.
What You Will Do
Provide comprehensive advanced nursing treatments and/or health care services to individuals, including clinical assessments, treatments, diagnosing medical conditions, and prescribing medication. Lead cardiac arrest codes and document medical and/or psychiatric care.

Requirements
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Experience working with and treating patients with substance abuse and addiction
- Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration for Practitioners issued by the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection
- United States Drug Enforcement Administration Registration issued by the United States Federal Government
- Eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S. 1320a-7b(f)
