Job Description
Advanced Pharmacy Technician works under supervision of Pharmacy Technician Coordinator, Pharmacy Technician Supervisor or Pharmacy Manager. The role involves performing advanced pharmacy technician duties, including auditing and signing out controlled substances, managing and handling medications, and generating and analyzing reports. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, and 2 years in area of advanced pharmacy technician concentration.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • 2 years in area of advanced pharmacy technician concentration
  • TBPH Pharmacy Technician Registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • Sterile compounding (IV) certification accredited by ACPE
  • Basic Life Support course accredited by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
