Job Description

The Advanced Pharmacy Technician will work under supervision in a full-time rotating shift, days and evenings, and will be responsible for coordinating daily workflow, making decisions, and maintaining competency in multiple areas. The technician will also participate in teaching activities, enhance personal growth and development, and treat co-workers and organizational/departmental property and resources with respect.

Requirements

  • Registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) as a Registered Technician
  • Sterile compounding (IV) certification accredited by ACPE
  • Basic Life Support course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • 2 years in area of advanced pharmacy technician concentration
