Job Description
UT Southwestern is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Richardson, TX. The position involves central pharmacy operation, inventory management, IV admixture of both hazardous and non-hazardous medication, Pyxis fill/refill, quality assurance unit inspection, and weekend rotation in Dallas. The successful candidate will have 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, 2 years in advanced pharmacy technician concentration, and relevant certifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • 2 years in area of advanced pharmacy technician concentration
  • TSBP REG PHARMACY TECNICIAN Registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) as a Registered Technician
  • PHARM INT) PHARMACY INTERN Registration with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) as a Pharmacist intern
  • STERILE COMPOUNDING (IV) CERT Sterile compounding (IV) certification accredited by ACPE
  • BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • PTCB) CERT COMPND STERILE PREP TECHN National certification
