Job Description
Join a collaborative team of APPs caring for high acuity cardiac surgery patients at Clements University Hospital. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll be managing their postoperative hospital course and assisting with drain management, discharge planning, evaluation of consults, etc. No OR procedures or first assist. We're looking for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Requirements
Education: Graduate of a master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program or Master's degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program
Licensure and Certification: Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required or Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing and Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing
Preferred: 1 year relevant clinical experience
