Role OverviewSeeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care unit at UH Cleveland Medical Center. The APP will manage post-cardiac surgery patients, durable and non-durable mechanical circulatory support, and lung and heart transplant patients. The schedule is rotating days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You Will Do
Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers, performs patient assessment, assigns diagnosis, establishes a plan of care, and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care.

Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program
- 1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
- 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships
- Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Physician Assistant (PA) (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required)
- Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire)
- Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License (Required)
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required)
- Current APRN License (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
